Knocked out tooth?
Contact your dentist immediately to make an emergency appointment. The quicker a tooth that has been knocked out is replaced, the more likely the tooth is to fix itself back in the gum.
What to do;
Soak your tooth in milk, hold it by the crown and avoid touching the roots
If you can, replace the tooth back in to its position
If you are unable replace the tooth, place it in a clean container with milk or your saliva
Broken Tooth?
Again, immediate professional treatment is vital if you encounter any damage to a tooth or teeth. Fractures or chips can result in the pulp inside your tooth getting damaged which may cause problems in the future. Your dentist can prevent the damage from getting worse.
What to do;
Make an appointment with your dentist as soon as you can
Place a cold pack over the cheek or lips on the affected area
Use warm water to thoroughly rinse your mouth
Place any fragments found in milk or your saliva
Toothache?
If you encounter a toothache, call us right away. We will accommodate you as soon as we can.
What to do;
See your dentist as soon as you can
Gently rinse your mouth with warm water regularly
If there are obvious cavities, clean any debris from them
If there are trapped food particles, remove them with floss
Use a cold pack on the outside of your mouth to reduce any swelling
Take pain relief if necessary
